Fix a master that failed

A master can stop in two places: on the upload page, before the file is sent, or on the job page, after mastering starts. Either way the page says why. Find the message below to see what to do.

The upload page refuses the file

The upload page checks the file before sending it. If it can't take it, a line appears under Browse files and nothing is uploaded. For example, a 13-minute track reads This track is 13:00 long. The limit is 12 minutes.

The upload area with the line This track is 13:00 long. The limit is 12 minutes. ringed under Browse files.

The page takes WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3, up to 1 GB, at 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz, mono or stereo, up to 12 minutes long (6 minutes above 48 kHz). Export the mix again within those limits, then add it.

The job page says Not delivered

If mastering stops, the job page's status reads Failed and Not delivered gives the reason. When the problem is in the file, the button reads Upload a different track; when it is on our side, it reads Try again.

Not delivered: This file can't be mastered: its audio is damaged, silent, or shorter than 2 seconds. The Upload a different track button is ringed.
